PDR is the annual process designed to complement the regular cycle of one-to-one meetings, catch up and reviews in which we assess an individual’s personal development plan, career plan and performance. It is an on-going process throughout the year with the aim of:
· Ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to discuss performance and development needs with their manager at least once a year
· Enabling everyone to understand their role and responsibilities, what is expected of them and how they contribute to the performance of the Trust
· Reviewing individual achievements and performance over a year
· Identifying any training and development which the individual needs to undertake in their role or to improve performance
· Setting new objectives for the coming year
